I am so enjoying having some me time so I thought I would show you what I have been up to. Last summer my daughter and daughter in law showed me how to crochet and I have been blown away, I just love it. I am very blessed with having Colinette Yarns nearby, my car goes automatically there now! So I have made several round throws for our summerhouse and while crocheting I have been thinking how I can bring my love of embroidery and fabric stitch books into my crochet. Well I am making a fabric stitch book with crochet as the title, below is a little glimpse of work in progress. I am also making a new quilt to hang on our stand at shows. I also have a more adventurous crochet throw in the making using alot more textures. I need to learn how to crochet flowers ( the ones showing on the photo have been made by my daughter in law Sally ) After not having much time last year to stitch it has taken me awhile to get going but now I can't stop so keep watching! Hope you are inspired to stitch too.....enjoy

At last I have had the time to do some stitching. I am making another Stitch Book based on Indian mirror work. It is called Inspired to Stitch and below are some pages in progress. I will post more images as it progresses, there is nothing better than hand stitching and I am enjoying another challenge.

Recently I gave a workshop at Patchwork Parade in Chadderton, a lovely shop run by Philomena Langford. One of the ladies Pat Fernandes who attended the workshop has e-mailed me this image of the wallhanging she is making, which is still work in progress. I am thrilled to see such a lovely piece of work, well done Pat we look forward to seeing the wallhanging completed.

below we now have Pat's Wallhanging finished. Well done Pat I look forward to seeing it at Harrogate in September

I have been lucky to squeeze in some stitching time and I have made a new wallhanging based on one of the fabric books I have made. It's called Rosa Corina . An image of it is below

and a close up

I have also been working on a new fabric book, smaller this time and a few less pages but already my head is buzzing with new ideas for the next one, these fabric books really are addictive, so lovely because its all hand stitched which is my real love.

My second fabric book is finished and it is based on my walks and wildflowers that I see growing in the hedgerows and along the Montgomery Canal path below is a page from the book .....lots of beads!
